Steven C. Adams represents people facing criminal charges in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, and surrounding Mississippi communities.

MISSISSIPPI ROOTS

From Grenada to Starkville

Steven C. Adams is originally from Grenada, Mississippi. He joined the Mississippi Army National Guard in 2009 and served for eight years while continuing his education.

During that time, Steven attended Mississippi State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology. His years in Starkville established a lasting connection to the community, and he has considered the city home since 2012.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Legal Training and Court Experience

After graduating from Mississippi State University in 2016, Steven attended the University of Mississippi School of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2018 and completed a criminal law certificate.

Following law school, Steven served as a law clerk to Justice Josiah D. Coleman of the Mississippi Supreme Court. That role provided experience with appellate legal research, written advocacy, and the review of complex legal issues.

A Practice Focused on Criminal Matters

Steven returned to Starkville in 2019 and began practicing law in the community. In April 2023, he opened Law Offices of Steven C. Adams, PLLC.

His public practice is focused on representing clients facing criminal charges, including DUI, drug charges, misdemeanors, felonies, assault and violent-crime allegations, domestic violence, theft and property crimes, weapons charges, probation violations, and expungements.

Criminal cases can involve urgent deadlines, bond conditions, court appearances, evidence review, negotiations, motions, and trial preparation. Steven works with clients to identify the charge, understand the court process, and determine the next steps required by the case.

A Law Practice Built in the Community He Calls Home

Steven returned to Starkville because of his connection to the city and the community surrounding Mississippi State University. He has considered Starkville home since 2012 and now lives and works in the area.

Law Offices of Steven C. Adams, PLLC is located at 102 West Main Street in downtown Starkville. The firm represents clients in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, and nearby Mississippi communities.

Steven has long described Starkville as Mississippi’s best college town and remains closely connected to the university and local community.
